Cleaning and steaming

Steam cleaning is a popular name for dry cleaning. Dry cleaning means using a chemical solvent during the cleaning process. So, no water is used. And that is where the English term 'dry cleaner' comes from. The cleaning process takes place in a closed machine. The stains are removed with soap and a so-called solvent (detergent). This solvent (detergent) is gentle in nature and protects delicate materials. Steam is mainly used in the finishing stages when conducting the ironing and pressing after dry cleaning.

UCC-Services provide a pick-up and delivery service for our specialist dry cleaning, including all removable items. We will deliver them back, clean, fresh, and vacuum packed.

We recommend that you do not treat the stain yourself with cleaning agents. The stain often penetrates deeper into the fibre when using the wrong cleaner. Later on when a service provider is called in, it will be more difficult for them to remove the stain completely. You can also damage the fabric so that there is a light spot or circle. When fabric requires cleaning, please call us to treat your fabric with the correct materials and solutions without further damaging the item in question.
